More leaders in Kisii County have reacted after DCI summoned Migori County Governor Okoth Obado over the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno.
Methuselah Ogero, Monyerero ward MCA said Obado must be held accountable for the death of Sharon.
"Violence against women must stop. Obado should be taken to court because he is not above the law. The DPP, DCI, and police must not spare Obado because he is responsible for the killing of Sharon," she said.
Nyakoe ward MCA John Amisi accused the DCI for taking too long to grill Governor Obado.
"The Judiciary should not be lenient on the suspects once arraigned in court," he said.
According to Amisi, all Kenyans are protected by the law.
James Omare, Boochi Tendere ward MCA said what Governor Obado did is unforgivable.
"Obado should not be forgiven for planning the murder of Sharon who had a bright future. It is time the law should take its course," he said.
Josephine Kerubo Ombati, an ODM nominated MCA urged the office of the DPP and DCI to ensure Sharon's family gets justice by prosecuting Obado.
