Renowned lawyer Donald Kipkorir has reacted to the dismissal by a court of law of an application to have the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti held in contempt of court in the Tob Cohen murder case.
The application was made by Sarah Wairimu through her lawyer former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Philip Murgor last year.
Writing on Twitter on Thursday, the renowned lawyer said that the High Court had agreed with his argument that the application was with no basis in law.
He dismissed the suit as stemming from a lack of understanding of the law.
Kipkorir represented the DCI boss in the contempt of court case.
"Today, the High Court agreed with my Submissions & dismissed the Contempt of Court Suit filed by Philip Murgor & his client Sarah Wairimu Kamotho against DCI George Kinoti & DPP Noordin Haji. When they filed the case, Philip & his client made sure every media house ran ....the story ... Hope that after the Court held that the Contempt Suit was without understanding of the law, the same media houses will give the dismissal same prominence ... The Contempt Suit was full of sound & fury signify nothing. Philip & his client should know people!" Kipkorir said in a Twitter thread.
Sarah Wairimu faces charges related to the murder of her husband Tob Cohen, who was found dead last year at the couple's Kitusuru home.
