Have you ever experienced a problem with your sim toolkit when trying to open the M-Pesa menu and it failed to work or respond?
Did you try rebooting the phone but you ended up experiencing the same problem?
Well, people have been figuring out the possible reasons behind it but are yet to know.
Different factors have been linked to this problem.
The first reason could be that you recently bought a new smartphone and you have not updated the Menu. In a phone call with Safaricom customer care agent, the agent only identified as Agnes told Hivisasa that you might be experiencing the problem due to the Menu that has not been updated.
When accessing your sim toolkit becomes challenging, you need to check your M-Pesa menu and update it. New phones come with a menu that needs to be updated.
Simply go to your SIM toolkit and select M-Pesa option. You will get many options on the M-Pesa menu. Select My Account. Under it, select update my customer menu and enter your M-Pesa pin.
You can as well call Safaricom them by dialling 100 to help you update your menu.
The other issues could be that you are using an old sim card which makes it difficult for you to access the M-Pesa menu on your phone.
In such a case, you are required to get yourself a new sim card and reactivate your M-Pesa account.
