This is after chaos erupted at Gitui Catholic Church in Kiharu, Murang'a County on Sunday courtesy of politicians allied to Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke factions.

Kipkorir put the blame squarely on Nyoro for gate-crashing at a fundraiser where his Nominated colleague Maina Kamanda was the chief guest.

In a tweet on Monday, the lawyer said it was not a must for Kamanda to seek permission to attend and preside over a function in Nyoro's constituency.

He said the first-time MP, who is also reportedly accused of assaulting a police officer as they were trying to contain him, should be punished for the chaos and be excommunicated if he is a Catholic.

"Roman Catholic Church is a temple of God. Maina Kamanda didn’t need permission from Ndindi Nyoro .. Ndindi Nyoro should face the full force of law for his juvenile acts. One can’t violate place of worship to please earthly paymasters. If Catholic, Nyoro should be excommunicated," Kipkorir said.

Renowned media personality Caroline Mutoko has also condemned the incident and put on the spot the church leadership for allowing the MPs to politic in the house of the Lord.

"What is this? Catholics DON'T allow politicians to speak in church. Even President Kenyatta speaks OUTSIDE Holy Family Basilica," she tweeted on Monday.
