The National Police Service, in its reorganisation, has announced 8 regional commanders.

The Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinet named the regional commanders saying those who were previously in similar ranks shall be deployed elsewhere.

Two regions, Central Kenya and Eastern shall have women at the helm of affairs. Here is the list of the Regional Commanders named on Friday as part of the changes being implemented by the government.

1. Judy Ndenda- Central Region 

2. Edward Mwamburi- Rift Valley Region 

3. Mercus Ochola- Coast Region 

4. Eunice Kihiko- Eastern Region 

5. Paul Soi- North Eastern Region

6. Rashid Yakub- Western Region 

7. Vincent Makokha-Nyanza Region

8. Philip Ndolo- Nairobi area.
