Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has said that he is yet to declare his interest for the presidency.
According to Moi, opponents should rest easy until he declares an interest in the top seat.
Moi was speaking during a fundraising in Sotik on Sunday where he was heckled by a group chanting Deputy President William Ruto’s slogans.
The crowd told Moi to forget about State House since Rift Valley will back Ruto. The rowdy group was ejected from the venue by police officers who were present.
“I am not interested in anybody’s position for now. Some people get jitters at the mention of my name. There is no need to hate one another or hurl insults," said Moi.
Moi was accompanied by Tiaty MP William Kamket.
Both leaders stated that they are behind President Uhuru's renewed fight on corruption.
The KANU chairman is expected to challenge for the country's top seat in 2022 where he might challenge DP Ruto.
