Speaking on Tuesday, the politician launched the push on ground that the DG has been out of the country for two years.

Kapchok who recently reconciled with Governor John Lonyangapuo decried Autudonyang's absenteeism, accusing him of failing to honour his contract with Kenyans.

He also called for the DG's resignation, owing to his inability to stay around and serve the people as should be the case.

“Dr Atundonyang has gone back on the contract he had with voters. He has to resign or come back immediately,” he told Nation on phone.

He also laid bare the reasons behind his recent reconciliation with Governor Lonyangapuo on Sunday.

Initially, Kapchok was among the fiercest critics of the governor in the county, which saw the governor attack him verbally during a function in Makutano some months ago.

At the function, the governor protested by branding him 'mulmulwas' (a round object), basing on his lumpy appearance, a tag that received a national recognition.

However, Kapchok now says that he is ready to embrace the governor as the issues he wanted addressed have already been addressed by Lonyangapuo's leadership.

“I have been raising critical issues which required the attention of Prof Lonyangapuo. Most of the matters have been addressed,” he added.
