Masiemo said Matiang'i has failed to take action on the rogue police officers in the area despite their numerous complains.

He said Matiang'i is busy improving security in other regions while at his home turf, things are going South.

"Matiang'i's appointment into the Interior Minister docket has been not rewarding to us because we have not seen him working for us. There is no way we will have police officers harassing us and demanding for bribes instead of protecting us. Matiang'i is just nothing but, a disgrace," said Ondimu.

However, Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba said he is in recipient of the residents' complains.

Mariba said the grievances raised by Miruka residents will be addressed with seriousness.
