Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga is now blaming Deputy President William Ruto for the recent scuffle pitting President Uhuru Kenyatta and Bahati lawmaker Kimani Ngunjiri.
The two were last week involved in a verbal war after Ngunjiri accused Uhuru of plotting to dishonour his initial promise to back Ruto in favour of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
But Wanga is now wondering why Ruto is yet to come out to disown the lawmaker's remarks and his anti-Uhuru demonstrations in Nakuru on Tuesday.
She termed the same as disrespect to the presidency, adding that the heavy mentioning of Ruto's name during the exchange is proof that he might have been behind the same.
"Ngunjiri alisema anampiga Uhuru kwa sababu anamuunga Ruto mkono. Mbona Ruto yuko kimya na hajajitokeza kujitenganisha na matamshi hayo?
(if Ruto is not the man behind the attacks on Uhuru through the parliamentarian, then why is his quarters silent on the issue even after wing mentioned?)" she wondered.
The vocal leader was speaking in an interview on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha, Monday morning.
The situation got out of hand after Uhuru bashed Ngunjiri terming him and idiot, maintaining that nothing will come in between him and Raila with whom they reconciled on March 9, 2018.
He added that no amount of bickering and threats will beat him to submission.
