Deputy President William Ruto has revealed the reason why he calls Cabinet Secretaries on a daily basis.
He said he calls the Cabinet Secretaries to know the progress of various government projects.
DP Ruto insisted that he is responsible to ensure government projects are being worked on.
"I am the Deputy President working under President Uhuru Kenyatta and my mandate is to ensure government projects are being worked on for completion within the stipulated time," he said.
Speaking on Tuesday night during an interview at Citizen TV, the DP said in order to deliver his responsibilities well, he calls all Cabinet Secretaries daily purposely to inquire on the progress of government projects.
He further reaffirmed that he is fully supporting his boss President Kenyatta to deliver the campaign promises towards the implementation of the Big Four Agenda.
"I'm behind my boss to ensure the people of Kenya are getting the desired development. As a government, no project will be unfinished because funds have been allocated to each project to ensure completion in time," Ruto said.
He also noted that government projects should not be politicized by individuals who have nothing to offer to Kenyans.
