In a shocking political move that could shape up the future of Coast politics, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala closed ranks with his bitter rivals; Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.
With their newfound love generating debate, the CS has come out to clear the air saying that their deal is for the future of the region on the country's political table.
According to Balala, Joho and Kingi posses unique skills which he says can be helpful in keeping the region at par with the rest of the country both politically and economically.
"We (Balala, Joho and Kingi) are only retiring from our current positions. We can sit down and discuss our next move. We want to groom the next generation of politicians and strategize about how to profit from the sharing of the national pie," the former Mvita MP said.
Following the decision of the three influential politicians to close ranks, Balala is squarely back in Coast and Mombasa politics.
