The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli on Thursday met with Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Joho took on Twitter to explain what they discussed and that included national unity and labour related issues.
"Met and held talks with the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Brother Francis Atwoli. We discussed national issues in particular unity of our beloved nation and also touched on labour issues," reads a tweet by the county boss.
A month ago, the trade unionist while in Lamu stated that Joho will hold a key position in the government that will be formed in 2022.
He also said the controversial statement that DP Ruto's name won't be in any position in the alleged new government formation.
"I assure you that after the election, Mr Hassan Joho will be in the list of those to form the new government that will provide five key slots. In the list, however, you won’t see anyone by the name of William Ruto taking any position, be it President, Deputy President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister [or any other]. The only people you will see are those standing for justice," Atwoli was quoted by the Daily Nation.
Atwoli however recently said that he did not mean DP Ruto would not win the elections, but that he(Ruto) only lacks advisors.
