Governor John Nyagarama may yet again find himself in court following the latest report by Controller of Budget Agnes Odhiambo's report on 2018/19 Financial Year.
In the report, despite 22 per cent growth of domestic revenue, the county government had an increase of 87.1 per cent in wage bill and foreign travels from among the executives also increased, thus impeding the progress.
Throughout his regime, Nyagarama has been in the receiving end on resource management. He has also been a guest of court over irregular promotions and employment which have reportedly led to ballooning wage bill.
Nominated MCA George Mosiori, while reacting to the report, said he'll move to court to demand for the release of Human Audit Report that was done in 2018 and those details are yet to be availed to the public.
"Gone are the days when county executive goons ran the departments as if the county was preserve of their selfish, clanist and nepotist inclinations.
"The manner in which qualified youths are left out of plum jobs yet quacks and illicit cults are appointed is backward and primitive. I will move to court to demand for the report. We used Sh6 million and they are scared to release it because if fraudulent employment."
So explosive was the report that Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo used preliminary part of it to suspend at least 31 people whose fate could be determined on Tuesday in a meeting that has been convened by County Secretary Erick Onchana.
Governor Nyagarama is also struggling to stamp authority in his administration with persistent in-house wrangles among officers threatening to sabotage his legacy, three years to 2022 polls.
