Speaking during the burial of Jubilee Party Secretary Raphael Tuju’s bother Kefa Oduor Tuju at Ralingo village in Rarieda constituency on Saturday, January 5, 2019, Murathe said the presidency is a pair and just like the constitution bars the President to run for more than two terms, it also bars the Deputy President from becoming President.

The remarks caused a storm within the political circles rubbing Ruto’s soldiers the wrong way.

Murkomen has dismissed Murathe with Churchill Winston’s brutal quote of a barking dog.

“Like Winston Churchill said, you will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks,” Murkomen said.

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, an ardent Ruto backer, has laughed off Murathe’s remarks inviting him for a legal duel at the apex court.

“The man seems to be under the influence of something. He doesn’t have even an iota understanding of the law. We are not only waiting for the dog but the owners of the dog too,” the vocal senator said.
