Allies of Deputy President William Ruto want the court to admit State House digital director Dennis Itumbi's video evidence of the La Mada hotel meeting.
Itumbi who is in detention over an alleged fake letter in relation to the assassination plot claims last week told the court that he has video evidence that a meeting was convened to plot Ruto's said murder.
Speaking on Friday, Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga stressed on the need for the court to allow Itumbi to prove his claims, and be allowed to produce and play the clip.
He further challenged the ongoing probe into the issue so that the nation can know the truth regarding the same, three weeks after Ruto raised an alarm that his life is in danger.
According to the lawmaker as quoted by the Standard, there is a need for Kenyans to know the direction of the case.
The blame has since landed on four Cabinet Secretaries from the Mt Kenya region, who Itumbi says he can prove held meetings at the La Mada Hotel to discuss the assassination plot.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are holding Itumbi over possible authoring of the letter.
They have since established that the letter, purportedly written by a CS to President Uhuru Kenyatta was fake, and are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to identify the author.
