Two Nairobi County Executive Committee Members (CECs) have been served with reshuffling letters.
The two were on Tuesday served with the letters which were signed by embattled Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
The affected CECs are Paul Kahiga who was serving in the Finance and Economic Planning docket and Lucia Mulwa of Education, Social Service, Gender, Sports and Youths.
"On receipt of this letter, you are asked to do a comprehensive handover report to your successor Mr Allan Igambi Esabwa who will hold the position in Acting Capacity," read part of Kahiga's letter.
The letters further show that Kahiga is taking over Lucia Mulwa's docket.
Mulwa, on the other hand, is being transferred to be CECM in Urban Planning, Urban Renewal, Housing and Project Management.
The letters date back to 5th December 2019 with Mulwa's bearing a stamp dated January 21, 2020.
A source told Hivisasa that the reshuffle is meant to ensure the current CEC for Finance who is being transferred does not pay individuals owed money by the county.
Sonko is facing graft related charges and a court has already issued orders baring him from accessing his office at city hall.
However, there has been a debate as to whether the court orders also bar the governor from executing his powers as the elected county boss of Nairobi.
Sonko's latest move is likely to elicit mixed reactions given that his decision to appoint a Deputy Governor was termed null and void by the DPP.
