There are various signs of early pregnancy though not all women experience the typical symptoms. Apart from swollen feet, morning sickness and other symptoms associated with pregnancy, some pregnancy signs usually appear in the mouth as well.
Here are some of the changes you'll experience in your mouth when pregnant.
1. Metallic taste in the mouth
If you have been having a metallic taste, then think of visiting a hospital to check your pregnancy status. This symptom is common in women who are in their first trimester. However, most women don't know that this sign is associated with early pregnancy.
Most women are fond of ignoring this sign. Some think it is a normal condition which is not always the case. Having swollen gums which bleed when you brush your teeth could mean that you are pregnant and you should thus start eating healthy and avoid vices that might endanger the fetus. You can confirm your doubts by visiting a hospital for a pregnancy test.
3. Sores
Pregnancy can make you more vulnerable to mouth sores. However, having mouth sores doesn't mean that you are pregnant since it can also be an indication that you are suffering from diseases such as diabetes, malaria or the flue. It is always advisable that you go for pregnancy test for confirmation.
