Senator Susan Kihika has dismissed claims that she was confronted by President Uhuru Kenyatta's bodyguards in Nakuru on Wednesday.
A friend close to the Nakuru senator on Thursday said Ms Kihika had a litter altercation with a 'lady blogger' who was strategically placed to harass her.
"The matter is being escalated to cause rift between her and the president. She never confronted Uhuru's bodyguards. That was a lady blogger who was sent by opponents to harass her," she said in confidence.
Senator Kihika, a close confidant of Deputy President William Ruto, had attended a function at county assembly of Nakuru which was presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Kihika dismissed a post making rounds on social media, where seemed to condemn the incident that trended on social media.
The former speaker asked followers to ignore the post, adding that it was baseless and fake, with aim of creating non existent narratives.
"I have this morning seen the following post making rounds on social media. It’s a FAKE post from a fake Facebook page. Treat it with the contempt it deserves," she said.
In the clip, the lady is seen attempting to slap the Senator who slightly dodged her hands.
Other leaders who included Nakuru West MP Samuel Arama, Gilgil MP Martha Wangari and County Speaker Joel Kairu are later seen trying to intervene and calm the Senator.
Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara was also one of the leaders who were asked to step aside from the line in order for her handbag to be searched.
Other reports claim that the lady seen pushing Senator Kihika is her counterpart and Njoro MP Charity Kathambi. The reason still remains unknown.
