Dry hair is a common problem in most women. It can be caused by various factors such as excessive sun exposure, unhealthy diet, harsh hair products and tools among many more.
Many ladies are in the dark on ways to make their dry hair soft. However here are ways which you can soften your dry hair;
1. Applying coconut oil mask
Since time immemorial coconut oil is known to be good for your hair. If one has a dry hair a coconut oil mask can do the trick. All you need to do is boil curry leaves and coconut oil for three minutes and leave the mixture to cool for some minutes. After that it should be applied gently on the scalp then cover the head with a warm towel, let it sit for a while before rinsing off.
2. Apply avocado paste
The avocado fruit is known to contain vitamins A and E which will replenish the hair making it shiny and healthy. Also, the fruit contains fats and minerals which strengthen the hair. In making an avocado paste, all you need is a ripe avocado and an egg, you mash the avocado and mix with the egg then apply on your hair.
You wait for 20 minutes before washing off the mixture of your hair.
3. Avoid washing your hair daily
The reason why one is told to wash their hair not more than twice a week is that inside the hair under your scalp there are oil glands that produce oil meant to keep your hair smooth and soft. So if one washes their hair daily they get rid of these oils thus leaving it dry and coarse.
4. Have a good diet
For healthy and soft hair one is advised to ensure intake of vitamins A, C and Biotin. Also, proteins and antioxidant such as walnuts, broccoli, tomatoes, spinach, lemon and blueberries are recommended. All these make your hair look and feel healthy.
