At his Tente house, Nyagarama said this partnership with GUCONET will enable him to mobilise resources from partners, donors and investors.

GUCONET is a consortium based in US whose main target is to connect governments and other partners from Non Governmental Organizations across the world.

"I am happy to sign MOU with you. My main focus is having people whom we can partner in improving our health, education and housing departments. This is a milestone in our county," he said.

The county boss added: "For the past five years, we have worked with NGOs and other non profit making organisation. I am pretty sure that we shall get something out of it."

The company was represented by project coordinator Josiah Nyagwachi and project managers Obed Bosire and Ouko Nyagaka.

Mr Nyagwachi said: "We have worked with several counties among them Makueni and Kisii. This partnership will yield fruits just like those other counties. It is exciting to work with NGOs."

The MOU comes at the time Governor Nyagarama is cleaning his payroll, an exercise that saw over 1,000 workers lose their jobs over irregular employment.
