Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed that his party has kicked off preparations ahead of the much awaited 2022 general elections.

On Thursday, the leader claimed that his party has been active in all counties as it seeks to strengthen itself for the race, where he will be will be vying for the presidency.

One of the strategic measures they have been taking, he said, is member recruitment, which he said have been going on silently in all the 47 counties, ahead of the party elections.

"We are currently recruiting new members, something that we have been doing silently in all counties as we prepare for party polls,” he revealed in an interview with the Star.

In his Western Kenya bedrock, he said that many things related to the polls have been ongoing, in a bid to unite the region and strengthen for better results come 2022.

“A lot has been happening in Western Kenya because we must have a strong base," added Mudavadi, who once served as a Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.

He remarked that the ANC party seeks to have a strong presence across the country, which might mean he will be using it in his presidential bid.
