Locals said the deceased famously known as Gekondo was a peaceful person who could hardly quarrel with anyone.

"The deceased was a social man who loved to interact with anyone he came across with. It is shocking that he was killed and his body dumped in the tea plantation," said Kevin Ouru.

Mr. Ouru said police should probe the matter and apprehend the killers.

The deceased brother, Abel said the family is yet to come to terms with the situation, following the death of his brother.

"My brother has been providing for the family. We have been left in the dark. All we want as a family is justice. Police should produce the killers," he said.

A local chief Benjamin Rioba said the body of the deceased was taken to Kisii Teaching and referral hospital morgue.

"Investigations are ongoing to bring the killers to book. Anyone with information which will lead to the arrest of the killers should report to police," he stated.
