There was drama on Friday at Cheptiret on the outskirts of Eldoret town after a mother fought with her daughter over a boyfriend.
The daughter, a student at Moi University is said to have decided to travel home only to be welcomed with the shock of finding her boyfriend with his mother.
On demanding for an explanation of how the two came to know each other, the mother who is 37 years old admitted having been dating the boyfriend for some time now.
Apparently the mother, Caroline Sambai saw her daughters boyfriend when he was invited to their home and fell in love.
"The guy is really handsome and when I first saw him I fell for him and said I must do something. It was then that I sneaked into my daughter's phone and copied her boyfriend contacts. When she went to school, I started calling her boyfriend to come over to greet me and the rest is history," narrated the mother.
The mothers' admission did not go down well with the daughter, and the two engaged in a fistfight.
It took the intervention of the locals to separate the two.
