A form three student was expelled from school for allegedly sleeping with old men.
The incident happened on Tuesday in Metembe, Manga in Nyamira County.
According to Geoffrey Ombasa, a teacher at a local school where the girl, Sarah Omambia was studying, she has been warned before against the behaviour.
“We have warned Sarah several times to stop sleeping with old men but in vain.
"She was caught on Monday with an old man in bed having sex. We can’t continue keeping her in our school,” said Ombasa.
Ombasa said the girl’s mother, Florence Moige, came to beg for her daughter to be given the last chance but, she was turned away.
“The girl’s mother came begging the school management to give the girl who has turned to be a prostitute a last chance but, she was turned away because the same girl has been caught 5 times with men in bed within the last 1 month," he noted.
Area chief, Richard Ombongi, said the girl has been a bad example to the rest of the students in the school.
Ombongi said the girl should have to look for a different school far from the village if she can't reform.
