Firebrand Nandi Hills legislator Alfred Keter reckons that be was ready to be intimidated by graft lords when he waged war against them in the recent past.

At Milimani SDA in Borabu on Saturday, the second term Jubilee legislator said he has thoroughly prepared for the challenge, adding that such wars must be fought when one is prepared fully.

He said corruption is at the peak, adding that Kenyans should make informed choices in future for the sake of rescuing the country's economy.

"When I started the war against cartels, I was already prepared to go through hell. Infact, I knew I would have lawyers stand by and that's how I came to know you Senator Okong'o Mogeni," said Keter.

He added: "Cartels will always be ready to fight back. They will use all avenues to intimidate you. When fighting them, you must remain strong and objective."

In the recent past, Keter has fallen out with Deputy President William Ruto, accusing him of enriching himself at the expense of poor Kenyans.

But the DP has often insisted that he can be able to account for his wealth despite controversy surrounding it. He has also dismissed graft allegations levelled against him.

Mr Keter said that corruption case of Treasury bills and his election petition were cleverly orchastrated by cartels. He urged Kenyans to be ready for tough times in the remaining period to 2022.
