The absence of Kenya from the tournament, having never qualified, gives room for many to pick any team to support, with many preferring teams associated to their preferred players. 

However, Kenyans were on Sunday treated to a special moment at the bonanza, after a fan was spotted carrying a Kenyan flag and cheering together with the Russians. 

It was not established who the fan was, but Kenyans back home had huge admiration for the loyal fan.
