The riders led by Keroka bodaboda chairman Dominic Babu maintained that Nyagarama's government must construct bodaboda sheds before they can resume paying tax.

"We can't continue paying daily taxes to Nyamira County government but in return nothing is being done with the money. Corruption is at the peak in Nyamira County," he noted.

Babu warned county Askaris against harassing bodaboda riders saying whoever who will be caught demanding tax from riders will be dealt with.

"Revenue collectors are advised to keep off and push the county government to use the money we have been paying as revenue to construct bodaboda sheds failure to which we will not pay taxes," said the chairman.

He appealed to bodaboda riders not to succumb to cheap threats from the county government saying riders won't be struggling to pay revenue without tangible development in the county.
