On Friday, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC) detectives confiscated one of the governor's vehicles on grounds that it was fraudulently purchased.

According to EACC detectives, the price of the Toyota Land Cruiser V8 registration number KCQ 004U was grossly inflated by some county officials.

As reported by the Daily Nation, EACC alleges that the vehicle's market price is estimated to be Sh13 Million but it was purchased at Sh26 Million.

Detectives further claim that the vehicle purchased for the Wajir county boss is allegedly being used by other people to run their own personal errands.

"We have been looking for the vehicle in question for the last 10 days and we finally found it hidden at Delta House in Nairobi, " detectives told the Daily Nation on Friday.

The vehicle is now under EACC watch as a probe into its alleged fraudulent purchase continues.

Last week, Wajir County Assembly Clerk Osman Mohamed was quizzed over the alleged fraudulent purchase.

Governor Abdi is yet to respond to the matter.

The graft allegations against Governor Abdi's government comes days after he survived a poll petition.

The apex court validated the Jubilee governor's election on grounds it was free and fair.
