The county becomes the second to endorse the bill.

Uasin Gishu MCAs also endorsed the proposals by the ThirdWay Party Leader Ekuru Aukot.

According to the Turkana MCAs who passed the bill on Thursday, the proposals by the former Presidential candidate are good because they will tighten the war against graft.

The bill has already failed to get the required support from 24 County Assemblies and has since collapsed.

Earlier on, Meru MCAs had rejected the proposals as they termed the Bill unrealistic and ill-timed.

Aukot was quick to claim that the MCAs had been bribed.

In a quick rejoinder, Meru County Assembly Speaker Joseph Kaberia said the allegations were false and they cannot be taken lightly.

“This is utter nonsense. Whoever has any evidence that Meru MCAs received bribes should present it to investigating agencies. A local radio also made similar claims. We will take appropriate action against those making the allegations,” Kaberia said as quoted by Daily Nation.

Aukot has been blaming mainstream political parties for his woes.

He has been alleging that the parties are not ready to back his proposals because they are not ready for change.

He has particularly pointed out Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru for the woes that have befallen him.
