Obado was remanded after pleading not guilty to murdering Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

Here are things the embattled Governor is missing out while in prison.

1. Friends

The governor is only visited by restricted people who are his close family members.

The visitors have restricted timings to visit the Migori governor.

2. Freedom

The governor’s freedom has been curtailed and he cannot move out of the prison unless when being taken to court.

He is however allowed to move within the prison in the supervision of prison warden.

3. Luxury

Obado is not enjoying the luxury he was used to including flashy vehicles, bodyguards, good food, personal assistants, secretaries and others things.

The governor is guarded by a prison warden on a 24-hour basis.

He uses the famous prion truck when going to and from court.

The embattled Migori governor will remain in custody until October 8 when his fresh bail application will be heard.

A section of his supporters has blamed ODM party leader Raila Odinga for allegedly orchestrating his troubles.

However Raila’s allies among them Kibera MP Ken Okoth have hit out at Obado asking him to carry his own cross.

The politicians say that the case against Obado is criminal and not political and he should not drag Raila’s name into it.
