Kwale Governor has laughed off NASA’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) call for boycott of certain products and services.

Mvurya now wants Kenyans and NASA supporters to ignore the boycott and continue consuming products and services being offered by different companies in the country.

In a briefing with journalists at his office on Friday, Mvurya said that NASA leaders have no moral authority to dictate on how Kenyans should run their lives.

The former Raila Odinga ally claimed that NASA leaders are selfish, adding that they themselves will be using the same products and services they are asking their supporters to boycott.

“I want to urge Kenyans and especially NASA supporters not to be fooled by their leaders who are asking them to boycott certain products and services,” he said on Friday.

The governor said that NASA call for economic boycotts contravenes the law and that they could face legal suits for trying to sabotage the economy.

Mvurya accused NASA of seeking sympathy after losing the presidential election twice this year.

“These people are desperate and are doing everything to remain relevant,” Governor Mvurya claimed.

The Kwale governor said that Jubilee government will protect both public and private companies as they produce goods and services for Kenyans.

He asked companies whose products and services NASA has asked supporters to boycott not to worry and instead continue with their operation.

On Friday, NASA listed Safaricom, Brookside Dairies and Bidco as companies whose products NASA supporters should boycott.
