In a Friday evening post, Itumbi gave a number of reasons the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) used to arrest Maribe.

According to Itumbi, the DCI arrested her because her phone was off at 10:45 p.m, her car was near the scene of the murder allegedly carried out by Jowie, and because she was present when Jowie burnt his bloodied clothes.

Itumbi went on to poke holes into the reasons advanced for Maribe's arrest. He wrote that Maribe's phone was off because it had run out of charge.

On Maribe's car being found near the murder scene, Itumbi wrote that Citizen TV offices are just across the scene.

On the journalist being present when Jowie burnt his bloodied clothes, Itumbi maintained that Jowie called a witness to ask for paraffin or air freshener through a WhatsApp call.

"DCI says we arrested her and got her charged with murder because her phone was off at 10.45 pm. Her friends who filed statements and will be relied upon to prove the prosecution case wrote, yes her phone went out of charge.

"One of her friends and colleague even details how she gave her phone to Maribe to contact Jowie who was trying to reach Maribe in vain and ended up texting her, complaining Maribe's phone was off.2. The Second Reason DCI arrested and got Maribe charged with murder is that her car was near Lemuria Gardens, where the Murder happened and that at 4 am after a night out she drove home with her boyfriend in her car. Now, it is undisputed Geographical and Locational fact that Citizen TV offices are just across the road from Lemuria Gardens," read the post in part.

It added: "Evidentially, Jowie says in his statement that he had Maribe's car all day and that by the time he wanted to pick his girlfriend Jacque, she had already left for 4040. Three prosecution witnesses confirm that they were with Jacque as she drove off with her friends. A witness presented to media as a high-level prosecution witness then narrates how Jowie gave him the car and he stayed with it until 11.40 pm in a petrol station. The watchman at Lemuria gardens says Jowie came to the apartment in a Taxi - a white car and not Jacques car.

"3. DCI also says they arrested and got Jacque charged with murder because she was present when Jowie burnt some clothes in a location next to their apartment. Now one of the witnesses, explains that Jowie called him asking for a flammable thing - Air freshener or paraffin through a WhatsApp call at night before he got into a club. A fact confirmed by DCI through the Investigation officer. The Investigation officer adduced no further evidence of the matter. No CCTV. Nothing else...just items of a partially burnt Kanzu," concluded the post.
