The interview was between host Jeff Koinange and COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli.

In a letter of caution to the media house's editorial director, MCK CEO David Omwoyo warned Citizen over airing adult related content.

"The host was persistent in discussing explicit adult-related content outside the watershed hours," Omwoyo said.

Omwoyo accused Koinange of being in breach of clause 10 of the code of conduct.

According to the act, journalists should not publish obscene content.

During the interview, Koinange was persistent with phrases like 'lakini kazi bado unafanya', 'katiba bado unasoma', and 'kazi unaweza',.  The phrases depict sexuality.

"In the meantime, urgently furnish the council with steps taken to avoid such an occurrence in future," Omwoyo states in the August 16 letter.

During the interview, Atwoli opened up about his personal life where he talked about getting married to media personality Mary Kilobi.
