Speaking to journalists yesterday, the chairman of Jubilee Party from Bomachoge Borabu Constituency George Nyabaro said many projects have stalled since 2013 and yet the money was remitted to see the projects done.

Giving examples of the stalled projects, he said the washrooms in Kenyenya, library and roads are all stalled in the region and they had been started off back in 2013. He, therefore, said that residents want to know the exact figures used in the projects.

"I am happy that the governor is coming over to launch a bridge. When he comes he should clarify some issues. The first contractor of the bridge was supposed to be awarded 9.8 million. We want to know which procurement process was made that reduced the 9.8 million to 7.8 million," George said.

"The tender announced on 2016/2017 for the road that was under MTF, from Kiong'endo centre to Getenga market. In 2016/2017 it was allocated 8 million but last year only maintenance was done. How can you maintain a road that has not been constructed? The washrooms in Kenyenya have been constructed since 2013 using 4 million shillings. Which toilet takes 4 Million and has not been opened till now?" he added.

This comes shortly after Kisii County and Nyamira Governors were troubles after their county governments were associated with mismanagement of funds.
