Haji said the law can't be bent in favor of Mrs. Mwilu because the law cuts across.

"Those thinking my office is going to spare Mrs. Mwilu are day dreamers. There is sufficient evidence to charge her at the corruption court. She must face prosecution as any ordinary Kenyan," he said.

The DPP said the Judicial Service Commission is free to take a disciplinary action against DCJ Mwilu.

He said he has followed the law in probing the corruption allegations facing DCJ Mwilu.

Haji maintained that politics should not take part in any probe with an aim to interfere with justice.

"Politicians should keep off probe especially when it comes to graft. My office is not going to succumb to pressure, blackmail and intimidation from politicians. It is time we team up to ensure corruption comes to an end in this country," he added.

Haji was speaking during a television interview at KTN on Sunday night.
