A section of leaders from Gusii have waded into Sharon Otieno's murder following summoning of Migori Governor Okoth Obado by detectives.
Mr. Obado is currently being grilled by detectives in Kisumu after being adversely mentioned in the murder.
"The DCI has taken too long to grill Obado over the brutal murder. It is my hope Obado will be arraigned in court after grilling," said Isaac Motari.
Motari who is the Kisii County Jubilee youth secretary general said Justice should be served to the deceased family.
Victor Swanya, a Nyamira based politician argued that Obado could have surrendered immediately his name was mentioned.
"Obado must know that we have laws protecting us in this country. The DCI should not spare him. After grilling he should be taken to court," said Swanya.
Steve Arika, a Kisii based politician said Obado should be sent to jail.
"The governor turned sponsor should spend his remaining days in jail for killing Sharon who had a bright future. The DCI should not listen to his lies," Arika said.
This comes after a court in Homa Bay refused to grant Obado's aide, Michael Oyamo bond even after making an application.
