Modelling has over the years grown to become one of the major career opportunities for students at Moi University.
Some of the top international models that the Kesses based university has produced include; Audrey Rendo, Sharonne Atieno and Betty Muzarika.
This has of course been catalyzed by the birth of various modelling agencies at the varsity such as Be The Model (BTM) and Modish Republik. Currently, 3 female models seem to be dominating the industry as they have become extremely influential with their outstanding sense of fashion.
At the top of the list is World Miss University Africa 2018/19, Miss Universe Kenya 2018 and also Miss Culture Moi University 2018/19 Betty Muzarika. The third year student in the School of Information Science was also a finalist in Face of Eldoret 2018. At such an early age of her career, Muzarika has already become an international model.
At second place is Miss Moi University 2018/19 Maureen Kang’ethe. The third year student has been modelling since high school. She, however, made her breakthrough when she was crowned Miss Moi University in 2018. The Model who also doubles up as a salsa dancer has partnered with other modelling brands at the school where she trains upcoming models. It is also important to note that a good number of the models who previously held the Miss Moi University crown ended up competing on international runways.
Finally, we have Miss Curvaceous 2018/19 Irene Akinyi. The soft-spoken model has always left men talking with her curvy body. She is currently being managed by Be The Model (BTM) which is one of the leading modelling agencies in Eldoret.
The three models have successfully made a name for themselves despite the challenge of balancing between books and the runway.
