Two officials from Tiens International were on Tuesday arraigned in a Kisii court for allegedly conning and brutally beating three jobless youths last week.

Joseph Mbithi and Stephen Muliko Ndolo were accused of jointly with others not before the court, of unlawfully assaulting Dominic Mokua, Cristabel Nyanchama and Dennis Nyangechi, causing actual bodily harm contrary to section 251 of Penal Code.

Appearing before Senior Resident Magistage Judge S.N Makila, the two pleaded not guilty and were realiesed on Sh30,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh10,000

They will appear in court on 28th May 2019 for hearing of the matter.

Last week, the three youths reported assault after they went to the company's Daraja Mbili offices to make a follow-up on their proceeds. They were expected to get referral bonuses having registered by paying Sh26,000 each.

Fredrick Ochieng  alias Prophet John Mowel, a silent victim who testified before this writer, has warned youths agaist such business deals, adding that youths should be a bit careful with conmen.

"I was once in the company and lost terribly. Am a living testimony. Let young people involve themselves in productive business deals and avoid easy made cash," he said.
