President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are expected to grace the burial of music icon Joseph Kamaru.
Opposition chief Raila Odinga is also said to be among top leaders who will attend the burial at Murang’a County on Thursday, October 11.
The benga maestro died aged 79 and has left behind one wife and four children.
Since his demise, his songs have ruled the airwaves in many Kikuyu radio stations.
The Kikuyu community considers the fallen musician as one of its greatest sons who came to the industry and conquered.
His fans will throng Kaharati area in Maragua sub-county, Murang’a to bid the farewell to a man who came to the industry in 1965 composing social, political and cultural songs.
Many of his songs such as Muhiki wa Mikosi, Ndari ya Mwalimu among others are still a hit up to these days.
