Speaking on Wednesday when he opened Kiamwasi Dispensary, the ODM Party allied governor dismissed a section of leaders opposed to the BBI from the region.

"Kenyans from other parts of the country should have no doubt and must know the truth about the stand the people of Kisii have in regards to the BBI. I want to confirm that all Kisiis are supporting the BBI and no one is going to change our mind anytime soon," he stated.

Ongwae who hosted the first ever BBI public forum said the public forums will continue countrywide to give Kenyans an opportunity to give their views about the BBI report.

He stated that local leaders should not use the backdoor to gain political mileage opposing the BBI adding that Kisii residents will not be taken for a ride by selfish individuals.

"BBI is a national initiative spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga. I urge those who have not boarded the BBI train to do so for the sake of moving together," he added.
