An Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party politician from Gusii region has welcomed President Uhuru Kenyatta to Gusii region to launch development projects.
Samuel Omwando said members of the Gusii community will not be tired welcoming the Head of State to the region.
"The president's planned visit is a clear indication that the community is benefiting from the handshake. We want President Uhuru Kenyatta to bring goodies to our people. I wish to take this humble opportunity to welcome the Head of State to Gusii region again. As ODM party we are assuring Mr. Uhuru our commitment towards the realization of his Big 4 Agenda," he said.
The vocal politician reiterated that ODM supports the unity between the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga with the Head of State.
"ODM party leader agreed to shake hands with Mr. Uhuru and as a party we will not have no option rather than supporting the handshake. All we need now is to see the fruits of the handshake reaching everyone in this country," he stated.
The former Kitutu Chache South MP hopeful warned politicians against divisive politics adding that Interior Cabinet secretary must ensure police are apprehending politicians inciting electorates to cause mayhem.
