The first MP for Nyatike Constituency Tobias Ochola Ogur is dead.
ODM party on Wednesday confirmed the demise of the former politician.
"Saddened by the passing of Hon Tobias Ochola Ogur, the first MP for Nyatike. My condolences to his family and the people of Nyatike whom he served in various capacities. May his soul Rest in eternal peace," read a statement by ODM party, posted on Facebook.
According to Nation, the former MP died at Nairobi Hospital where he had sought treatment for organ failure.
Tobias Ochola Ogur was first elected MP in 1988 on a Kanu ticket, during a one-party system and later retained his seat in 1992 on a Ford Kenya ticket.
He lost to, NDP's Tom Onyango in 1997 before winning back the seat in 2002 when he vied on a NARC ticket.
