In a statement released to all Catholic Churches in the world, the Pope said that hanging human beings because of their acts is not Godly.

"The Church teaches, in the light of the Gospel, that 'the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person'," read the message from Rome.

While sentencing her to death for stabbing her lover Farid Mohammed more than 22 times, High Court judge Jessie Lessit said that the sentence was good enough to teach others not to commit such acts in future.

"I want the youth to know it is not cool to kill your boyfriends or girlfriends. Instead, it is cool to walk away and forget," Judge Lessit said in her ruling.

The sentencing of the beauty pageant to death has attracted mixed reactions from all over the world.

A section of Kenyans believe that such a beautiful soul does not belong to jail.

The family of the deceased boyfriend on the other hand thanked the court for the sentence, terming a great milestone in the quest for justice.
