A bodyguard attached to Embu Governor Martin Wambora was on Tuesday morning killed after an alleged attack by boda boda operators.
Authorities in Embu have launched investigations into the incident.
The incident was confirmed by Embu West OCPD Julius Meli.
According to Meli, the deceased identified as Christopher Njue died while undergoing treatment at the Embu Level 5 Hospital.
It is alleged that Njue had a disagreement with the operators regarding payment at Kithimu something that led into a vicious fight.
Meli added that Njue was in the area after visiting a friend and he was looking for means back to Embu town. The incident allegedly took place at 2am.
Police are holding one bodaboda operator who is believed to have been present at the scene when the fight happened
