The elderly led by Zack Ontiri and James Onchong'a claimed that the bank manager whose identity is yet to be revealed has been ignoring them for several months.

"I retired 8 years and I have been accessing my pension payment through Post Bank Kisii branch. For nine months the bank has been delaying my pension payment without giving valid reasons behind the delay," said Ontiri.

Mr. Ontiri accused the bank management of ignoring the elderly people who travel long distances to Kisii town to withdraw their money.

"Our efforts to seek the manager's audience have been in vain. We want to know why our money is being delayed every month," he said.

Onchong'a on his part claimed that the bank during the early years they used to get their pension money by 1st of every month.

"Today is on 4th and we are yet to get our money. We are being mistreated by the bank's management," he stated.

However, a worker at the bank who requested for anonymity said the delay is as a result of delaying of money to the headquarters in Nairobi.

"We are doing everything possible to ensure the elderly get their money," said the worker.
