The governor who recently returned from sick leave took issue with the four MPs who demanded that he fires his cabinet members over claims of being involved in graft.

The group of Adipo Okuome (Karachuonyo), Aduma Owuor (Nyakatch), Martin Owino (Ndhiwa) and Ongondo Were (Kasipul) said that corrupt CEC's were affecting service delivery through their involvement in corruption.

However, in response, the county boss remained reluctant, saying that he would not fire his ministers simply because the MPs want him to.

“I cannot just sack my officials because you have said,” he was quoted by the Standard.

He lashed out at the lawmakers, saying that they a re in no position to lecture him, being mere MPs who have no idea whatsoever on how to run a county.

He added that none of them has served in his capacity and cannot, therefore, purport to know what is good for a county.

“None of you has been a governor. Some of you are just serving their first term in parliament hence you don’t know challenges in the gubernatorial post," he added.

The exchange happened at the burial of slain transport Minister Donny Opar who was shot dead by unknown assailants earlier in the month.
