Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has weighed in on the dramatic change of tune by Deputy President William Ruto's allies on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
In a tweet on Wednesday, Kipkorir said that the Saturday meeting at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega marked the end of the Tangatanga faction of the Jubilee party.
The firebrand lawyer said that President Uhuru Kenyatta has stamped his authority as far as the leadership of this nation is concerned.
He noted that Uhuru, who is completing his second term in government, has ensured that he takes full control of the government.
He also said that the government will not allow the leaders to hold any other rally in any part of the country after the change in their tune.
"TangaTanga 2022 Train ended in Kakamega BBI Rally. On that day, State Machinery irrevocably shifted. From then, State will only allow one rally at a time in a County & shall be one led by Raila Odinga. Any other rally will not be allowed. Uhuru Kenyatta took back full control," he tweeted.
Allies of the DP have vowed to attend the BBI popularization meetings across the country.
Led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the leaders have said that they will start by attending the BBI meeting in Mombasa and have also said that they will not engage in sideshows during the meetings.
