In what could be one of the most published fallout, members of the Abagusii community living in the US have hit back at Royal Media Services' Nancy Kwamboka.
The Egesa FM radio boss, in one of the outbursts targeting members of the diaspora, ridiculed them on grounds that some of them have never been genuine.
In the video making rounds on social media, Ms Kwamboka alias Nana Angel, dismisses members of the diaspora community as serial liars who leave with many debts.
"I know they will be coming around this month. They call, ask you to book vehicles and houses for them. But after finishing their trips, they ran away leaving us with debts," she claimed.
So viral were her remarks that some of those who live in America hit back, accusing her of allegedly peddling propaganda against them.
Samuel Okemwa, a seasoned activist, accused Ms Kwamboka of losing track, adding that she needs to apologise to those whom her statement targeted.
"This is unprofessional. This lady must apologize for demeaning us. Does she know how much Kenya gets from foreign exchange from us? She has lost focus," he said.
Okemwa challenged Royal Media Services' management to review the Egesa FM radio boss's statement, adding that it violates ethics.
The video has elicited mixed reactions with some people backing the diaspora while others condemning Mr Okemwa following his lengthy response.
