After a video of Technical University of Mombasa student being beaten up mercilessly by colleagues went viral, the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has taken action.
The DCI has urged the affected party to make a formal report to the nearby police station, get legal required documents that will enable the DCI to ensure justice is served to the helpless boy.
"Good evening @Onsombi. Kindly advise the victim to make a formal report at his nearest Police Station & then share the OB number with us. We will ensure that Justice is served. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention," DCI tweeted.
As Hivisasa reported earlier, two students identified as Cedric and Chiga, beat up their fellow student Aloice for allegedly taking their girlfriend.
"Aloice, Angel ni demu ya nani?" Cedric asked before he started flogging the helpless student.
TUM student leadership said the university had already taken action against the two students.
"The information I have just gotten from the office of the Dean of Students via phone call is that the administration has also taken immediate action and have suspended the two students," read a statement from TUMSA leadership sent to the media via WhatsApp.
