Kenyans have reacted to a picture doing rounds on social media of President Uhuru Kenyatta hugging former CNN anchor Zain Verjee.

The picture, which was posted on Twitter by ODM director of communications Philip Etale, was taken at UN, Gigiri during the fourth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly.

Etale posted the photo with the caption "Hearty HUG...yaaani deep from the Heart."

In the picture, opposition chief Raila Odinga who was standing next to President Uhuru can be seen watching as the Head of State embraced the Kenyan-born journalist.

The picture elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans, with some joking that First Lady Margaret Kenyatta should be shown the photo.
